Bride Price In the Igbo Society, the bride price was used to help ensure a marriage's stability. If either the groom or the bride no longer wanted to be married then the bride price would remain to the family of the one who didn't leave.

The Kola Nut Breaking a kola nut is a ritual custom in Igbo society. When guests are around it symbolizes intimacy and honor to break the kola.
